Breast Cancer Warriors!

October always brings back memories of working with these amazing ladies, which culminated in an emotional portrait gallery displayed at the Nevada Museum of Art. I was truly honored to be a part of this endeavor!

Breast Cancer 2 Bikini selects 10 hardworking ladies who commit to training for a bikini fitness show, which means strict eating and training for months! This is one of the rewards of their efforts, is a photo shoot commemorating their beautiful bodies.

The museum display was all black and white, and most were topless showing scars and mastectomies. These are a little more conservative so you can focus on their beauty instead of their chests. I’m sure they don’t mind that, since so much of their focus is on their breasts since diagnosis. Some have been fighting longer than others. Some have fought it and won, only for it to come back. One of the beautiful ladies, Joy, thought she had beaten it and it just wouldn’t give up. We lost this lovely soul in June, which was absolutely devastating!

So I just wanted to celebrate them again for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I went through my files and chose some random favorites and did a quick retouch on them. I didn’t take the straps out for the wings, which takes a lot of time, but I would normally do that. Just wanted to get them up here and not procrastinate! (If you know, you know)

I hope they are all doing well, and everyone join me in wishing them the best!
